An Assessment of the Effectiveness and Safety of ULTRACOL100 as a Device for Restoring Skin in the Nasolabial Fold Region

Key finding

About 20% smaller pore area and significantly denser dermis vs baseline.

Summary

Ultracol 100 was compared with three established products (polynucleotides, PDLLA and hyaluronic acid), each on the other half of the face. Two sessions 4 weeks apart, assessed 4 weeks after each.

After the second session the Ultracol 100 side was smoother (PRIMOS 3D), more elastic (Cutometer) and showed significantly higher dermal density on ultrasound (p<0.05). Pore area fell by about 20% in two of the three groups. Hydration, translucency and tone also improved.
